Elizabeth Margaret McClarnon, or rather Liz or Lil as she is more commonly known, was born in the British port of Liverpool in Mill Road Hospital on 10th April 1981. From her early days she loved music, but never expected or thought she might become a professional singer and earn a living from it, and after school started training to become a lawyer.
However Lil's music teacher Sharon Ashton told her that she had arranged an audition for Lil for a local girlgroup being founded by Andy McCluskey, ex OMD front man. Lil was a shy girl, so her teacher forced her to go to the audition where she met Heidi (now part of the Sugababes) and Kerry Katona. Before the new group was launched, Heidi decided to leave the fledgling band and Tash replaced her. And so started Atomic Kitten.
Lil describes herself as a sensitive and easily hurt human but who is also very intelligent and honest. Like many other English people, she has also a very sarcastic and ironic humour. One of her biggest passions is football and she loves to play, but also to support her favourite football team... Everton!
