Fabio Tells WAGS Pack Your Bags

Kamis, 16 Oktober 2008

ENGLAND footie boss Fabio Capello has put an end to the WAG culture, banning all wives and girlfriends from the national team set-up.

Stand-in skipper Rio Ferdinand agrees with his gaffer’s hardline stance and admitted the team’s base at the 2006 World Cup in Germany became a bit of a circus in terms of the WAG situation.

The likes of Victoria Beckham, Coleen McLoughlin and Carly Zucker were regularly pictured in papers and mags downing pink champagne and splashing the cash at expensive boutiques at the luxurious Baden Baden resort.

Capello believes the media frenzy that surrounded the WAGs affected the players and contributed to England’s failure to get past Portugal in the quarter-finals.

But is he right to ban them?
