‘WE’RE on a break’...
Kamis, 28 Februari 2008
...were the words that spelled disaster for Ross and Rachel in Friends.
But Cheryl Cole’s hoping some thinking time away from cheating hubbie, Ashley, could fix their problems.
The Girls Aloud singer is apparently so upset with the Chelsea player and all their friends' opinions, she’s smashed her mobile phone and jetted off to think things over.
And she’s chosen the sunny climes of Thailand, with band mates Nicola and Kimberley, to work out her future.
After their ten-day break the girls will head to LA, where they’re due to film their new show Passions.
It can’t be easy for Cheryl to decide between her marriage and her dignity.
But will a break be the answer or will it just prolong the agony?
Relationship Counsellor, Christine Northam, of Relate tells us how to make a break work:
“If you get to the stage where you have to separate for a bit, then things are probably fairly dire in your relationship,” says Christine.
“For most of us, there is certainly a case for having a break in a relationship with problems,” says Christine.
“A break can help you to see it more clearly and make decisions about whether or not you’ve got a future together.
“If there’s been a lot of turmoil, all your friends and family will have their own take on it.
"It’s very helpful to step away from everyone and take time to get over some of your emotions."

Sylvie van der Vaart #9 WAG's 2008
Senin, 25 Februari 2008

Sylvie van der Vaart, born on 13 April 1978 as Sylvie Meis.
By her 18th birthday Sylvie has decided that she wants to be a model and she is cast for various shoots by casting agencies. After television enters her life, she gains popularity through her performance at FoxKids and music station TMF. She hosts several events at TMF, such as presenting the annual TMF-awards, conducting interviews with international artists such as Britney Spears and Kylie Minogue. In addition, she features in video clips and the Dutch TV-series “Costa”. In collaboration with the firm of JPC she also introduces the “Pure by Sylvie” jewellery line to the Dutch market, which is successful from the start.
After being elected Holland’s sexiest female in 2003, she develops a relationship with Ajax soccer player Rafael van der Vaart. Due in part to the fame from their individual careers they soon become Holland’s most famous “soccer couple”. Their fame expands after their marriage on 10 June 2005 and live coverage of the wedding on SBS, with the broadcast gaining high ratings in Holland.
Both Rafael en Sylvie are now managed by the same agency, Essel Sports in Amsterdam, allowing them to optimally attune their interests to their separate careers. Their fame has its downside, though: at Ajax matches, with Rafael as captain, the adversaries’ supporters take to chanting insults aimed at Sylvie. The ensuing discussion whether or not offensive chants should result in match suspension even triggers a political debate.

Liz McClarnon #10 WAG's 2008
Elizabeth Margaret McClarnon, or rather Liz or Lil as she is more commonly known, was born in the British port of Liverpool in Mill Road Hospital on 10th April 1981. From her early days she loved music, but never expected or thought she might become a professional singer and earn a living from it, and after school started training to become a lawyer.
However Lil's music teacher Sharon Ashton told her that she had arranged an audition for Lil for a local girlgroup being founded by Andy McCluskey, ex OMD front man. Lil was a shy girl, so her teacher forced her to go to the audition where she met Heidi (now part of the Sugababes) and Kerry Katona. Before the new group was launched, Heidi decided to leave the fledgling band and Tash replaced her. And so started Atomic Kitten.
Lil describes herself as a sensitive and easily hurt human but who is also very intelligent and honest. Like many other English people, she has also a very sarcastic and ironic humour. One of her biggest passions is football and she loves to play, but also to support her favourite football team... Everton!

This didn't go unnoticed for long; at the age of sixteen, while at her neighborhood post office, Lenoir was spotted by an agent from the prestigious Ford Modeling Agency, and a magazine shoot for Marie Claire and Ralph Lauren in Paris soon followed. But Lenoir was determined to finish school and learn English before setting out into the turbulent world of modeling. With those goals achieved, Noemie moved to New York in 1999 to give herself a better chance at furthering a modeling career.
The rest of Lenoir's time is spent doing one of her favorite activities: shopping. She's especially fond of shoes, handbags and pants, and carries around her sunglass collection (more than ten pairs) with her when she travels. As for what's in store for the future, Noemie speculates that she might even end up working in another area of the fashion industry, but for the moment, she says, "I'm not worried about that."

Cheryl Cole : The WAG's Life Is Not For Me
Rabu, 20 Februari 2008

13 September 2007 - Cheryl Cole has described the typical Wag lifestyle as "degrading" and "embarrassing".
The Girls Aloud singer is married to Ashley Cole, who plays for Chelsea and England. During the most recent World Cup, she was a regular feature on the party scene, downing champagne with the other wives and girlfriends.
Cheryl told Q magazine: "To be labelled as someone's wife I find very degrading as a woman. It's embarrassing and depressing when I hear kids say to me: 'I wanna be a Wag.' That's not a job."
She added that the fashionable life of a footballer's wife is not all it's cracked up to be.
"What if you get cheated on or beaten up? What are you going to do then? Stay there for that Chloe handbag? I don't think so," she said.
The 24-year-old was named Sexiest Footballer's Wife in FHM's 2006 Bloke Awards, before she had even married Cole.
Recently, Girls Aloud responded to claims that they had gone under the knife to achieve their sexy looks.
